Merimbula CBD Upgrade Project
Dear Chamber Members and Local Business Owners,
I am writing to emphasise the importance of your attendance at a key meeting regarding the future of the Merimbula business community. This meeting will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 at the Merimbula RSL.
A number of important stakeholders will be present, including key business representatives and several councillors. This is a significant opportunity for our collective voice to be heard as we discuss the priorities and impacts of the upcoming project that is set to commence shortly.
The Chamber of Commerce has identified the top priorities for this project, including:
- The two proposed roundabouts: one at Sapphire Coast Drive and Main Street and the other at the corner of Main Street and Market street
- The planned improvements to Hylands Corner, particularly addressing long-standing safety concerns
These priorities have been selected based on strong feedback from local businesses owners, and this meeting will allow us to present a unified position to Council. Your participation is essential to ensure that the views of the Merimbula business community are clearly communicated and accurately represented.
We strongly encourage all members and local business owners and community members to attend. Your input and presence will help shape the direction of this project and ensure that the outcomes support the continued growth and safety of our community.
