Shop Merimbula and Tura Beach to Win

Shop locally for your chance to win a $10,000 holiday voucher with The Travel Compass Merimbula.

Customers aged 18 years or older who spend $50 or more at a participating business between 1 November and 18 December 2026 inclusive are eligible to enter. Look for the official promotion window decal.

Write your name, phone number and email address on the back of your receipt and place it in the entry barrel at Horizon Bank Merimbula or Harvey Norman Tura Beach. Entries close at 5pm on Friday 18 December 2026.

The prize draw will take place on Monday 21 December 2026 outside the Visitor Information Centre. Full terms and conditions are set out below.

Promoter of Competition

The promoter of this chance competition is the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce.

How to Enter

1. Make a qualifying purchase

Customers of 18 years or older, who spend a total of $50 or more at a participating* business between 1 November and 18 December 2026 inclusive are eligible to enter the draw for a $10,000 holiday voucher.

2. Complete and submit the receipt

Customers must write their name, phone number and email address on the back of the receipt, then place it in the entry barrel at either:

  • Horizon Bank Merimbula, or
  • Harvey Norman Tura Beach

Entries Close: 5pm Friday 18 December.

Any entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.

Prize draw. The winner of the prize will be drawn by the President of the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce on Monday 21 December outside the Visitor Information Centre.

Before the winner is announced, the selected receipt will be checked for eligibility and redrawn if not eligible.

Receipt collection by businesses

Participating businesses may provide a collection box for customer convenience and will take all reasonable care but shall not be responsible for lost entries or entries not deposited in the nominated barrels by 10am Monday 21 December.

*Participating Businesses

A Merimbula or Tura Beach business that qualifies for Merimbula Chamber of Commerce membership, has paid the Chamber’s participation fee for the Shop Merimbula and Tura Beach to Win promotion and displays the Chamber-supplied official window decal. The decal identifies businesses where qualifying purchases are eligible for entry into the draw.

Eligibility to Enter

Organisers of the Promotion are not eligible to enter.

Owners and employees of a participating business are not eligible to enter with a receipt from their own business. However, qualifying purchases from other participating businesses will be eligible.

If the winning receipt is later to be found to be ineligible the prize shall be forfeited and redrawn in a public place at a date and location to be determined by the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce.

Results of the Draw

Prize — $10,000 Holiday Voucher with The Travel Compass Merimbula

The holiday voucher must be used within two years and cannot be exchanged for cash. With the agreement of the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce, the prize may be transferred to another person. The voucher can be redeemed by booking a holiday through The Travel Compass Merimbula.

What Is Covered:

Eligible expenses include any travel costs that can be booked through the travel agent, such as airfares, bus and train fares, cruises, accommodation and organised tours.

Expenses Not Covered:

  • Food and meals, unless included in an organised tour
  • Passport costs
  • Fuel and motor vehicle expenses

How to Claim:

Visit The Travel Compass Merimbula to plan your trip.

You may book up to three separate trips within two years, with a combined value of up to $10,000 including GST. If the total amount spent is less than $10,000, the winner will not receive a refund for the difference.

Privacy of Personal Information

Personal information will not be kept by the promoter of this competition and will be disposed of thoughtfully after the eligible winning entry is drawn and notified.
